Empty Thoughts Over A Shallow Ocean

June 29, 2013

I'm truly loving the summer weather this year! Not too sweltering hot and not too chilly cold. Just ideal. Then again summer did just start so I best not jinx that...*knock on wood*. Immediately after I received these skorts I just couldn't resist the temptation of walking out of the house with them hehe. I know I'm probably a bit late with getting my hands on these bad boys but you know what, they're a staple to have in every girl's closet and I don't believe they'll be getting too stale any time in the near future. Like the saying goes, better late than never. Moreover, I have been anxiously dying to share with you guys this awesome top I found along one of the shops on the boardwalk just a while back. I honestly didn't care that it was a XXL size shirt, the graphic design was just too awesome to pass down! Hacked off the oversize sleeves, trimmed the length, and wah-lah! one my of favorite crop top tank now. P.S. Feel free to ignore the flip-flops. After growing up by the Jersey shore, wearing flip-flops has grown into a must wear footwear to walk along the boardwalk and beach with. Hey, at least the match with the outfit and good thing they come in almost every color you can think of.

World Championship: Sand Sculpting

June 28, 2013

It was one of those "one and a lifetime chance" days where me and my sister were both free and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! Hence, we just couldn't throw such a perfect day away and decided to head out to the boardwalk in Atlantic City and check out the World Championship Sand Sculpting event by the beach with our little bros. It's crazy how talented these people are! They even go through all the little details and knicks and cranies of these sculptures.

One Day Trip to China and Japan

June 26, 2013

Don't take the title of this post too seriously folks, but in all honesty, me and my family technically did somewhat travel to China and then to Japan all in one day. The 23rd was the last day for the Japanese Gourmet Fair held at the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater, NJ and I was successfully able to convince my parents (my Dad being the tough one) to bring the family on a little trip. My Dad's not a fan of New York City's craziness and was utterly against us stopping by the bustling city even though it would only be 15-minutes from the fair; funny thing, his GPS misled him and led us onto a different path then what Google map directed us towards to get to the Japanese fair and bam! we ended up finding ourselves in New York City! However, we only spent an hour or two in China Town which was sort of sad cause I'm always up for venturing the gorgeous city but we all knew what our initial goal for the day was and hey, Japan is just as gorgeous. Prepare yourselves for a spamage of photos galore!
The one thing I absolutely love about spending the day at Mitsuwa is not only for all their delicious Japanese authentic foods, all things kawaii stationaries, and Japanese magazines and mangas, but because right behind the market is the Hudson river, and when you look across the river there's a beautiful view of the bustling New York City. It's even more beautiful knowing how lively the city is but from the other side of the river it appears to be such a peaceful and gorgeous city.
